Bolles agreed to terms Thursday on a four-year, $82 million contract extension with the Broncos, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Bolles' new deal reportedly includes $42 million guaranteed and an additional $4 million in incentives. The 32-year-old left tackle has performed to an elite level as a pass blocker this season, so it's unsurprising to see the Denver prioritize retaining him to protect Bo Nix's blind side for the foreseeable future. Bolles will look to remain stellar as the Broncos prepare to take on the Colts at home Sunday.

Bolles will make his return to the field for the 2023 campaign after suffering a broken right leg last October that ended his season. As Denver's starting left tackle, the 31-year-old will play a key role in protecting Russell Wilson and helping the Broncos' offense take a step-forward after a rocky 2022 season.
Bolles continues to be a strong part of Denver's offensive as the team's starting left tackle. He'll have the important task of keeping new quarterback Russell Wilson upright in 2022. Assuming Bolles can keep up his strong play, the offense as a whole should take a major step forward in the upcoming campaign.
Per Pro Football Focus, Bolles was ranked the NFL's third-best tackle in 2020. His continued excellence at left tackle should play a big role in helping Denver take a step forward on offense this year.
When Bolles was drafted in the first round in 2017, Denver's brass knew they were getting a unique athlete, but also a very undisciplined player. That held true during his rookie season. Bolles showed some promise -- particularly as a run blocker -- but was third among NFL offensive linemen with 12 accepted penalties. Bolles only had one season in Utah before being drafted, so the hope is that he has room to grow and will clean things up during his sophomore campaign. Moving veteran Ronald Leary to left guard could help by placing a logical mentor to Bolles' right.

Wants to remain in Denver

November 6, 2023
Bolles would like to sign a contract extension with the Broncos that keeps him with the team past 2024, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
ANALYSIS
The 31-year-old left tackle has played every game so far this season after missing 12 games in 2022 due to a broken leg. Bolles has one more year left on his current contract and could be dealt in the offseason if the front office decides to clean house, but his preference would be to remain with the team that drafted him in the first round in 2017.
