Piastri finished fourth in the Austrian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg on Sunday afternoon.

ANALYSIS
The McLaren youngster would start seventh on the grid and make one spot on the opening lap by overtaking teammate, Lando Norris. Piastri would then execute a clean, two-stop strategy and engage in running battles with both Ferraris throughout the grand prix. At one point he would even make contact with Charles Leclerc while battling for position. After Piastri's second stop of the day, he would get around Leclerc to forge a strong P4 in Austria.

2023 Fantasy Outlook

The Australian rookie Piastri has quite the shoes to fill in his first season with Formula One, taking former McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo's spot as Lando Norris' teammate for the 2023 campaign. Piastri was quite the phenom in his last season with Formula 2 in 2021, winning a total of six times, earning 252 points, and walking away with the Driver's Championship after just 23 starts in the series. The driver of the No. 81 will have a lot of eyes on his on-track performance this year, as McLaren is famous for their incoming drivers having issues sufficiently adapting to the feeling and handling of the car. In the upcoming season, Piastri's greatest challenge will be learning how to adjust his racing style to fit the capabilities of the MCL36 and where he fits amongst all the new talent on the grid this season.
