Out for bowl game, headed for NFL
Undisclosed
December 21, 2021
Badie won't play Wednesday in Missouri's Armed Forces Bowl matchup with Army and will instead begin preparations for the 2022 NFL Draft, Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
ANALYSIS
Badie had an incredible senior season for the Tigers, racking up 1,612 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground. The 5-foot-8 sparkplug was also highly involved in the passing game, recording 54 catches for 330 yards and four scores. Badie's departure leaves Elijah Young as the Tigers' likely lead option out of the backfield for the bowl game.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2021
2019
Badie excelled in a complementary role during his first three seasons with the Tigers, proving a versatile threat as both a rusher and receiver out of the backfield behind starter Larry Rountree. With Rountree gone, it is time for the senior Badie to shine. Badie averaged a career-best 5.0 yards per tote as a junior despite limited carries. He caught at least 25 passes out of the backfield for the second-consecutive season, and has 16 total touchdowns from scrimmage in his Mizzou career. Badie is now the unquestioned lead dog for the 2021 campaign, meaning there is no reason he should not receive a similar workload as his predecessor Rountree of 20+ touches per contest.
Badie will be the primary backup to Larry Rountree in 2019 due to the departure of Damarea Crockett. Badie proved more than capable when given an opportunity, rushing for 437 yards on 89 carries as a freshman. He also caught 12 passes for 130 yards out of the backfield. Rountree should still receive the bulk of the work on the ground, though, and dual-threat quarterback Kelly Bryant may also cut into Badie's touches.
