Owen McCown

With Frank Harris finally graduating and moving on from UTSA, McCown stepped into the starting quarterback role for the first time in 2024. He started all 13 games for the Roadrunners, including the bowl victory, and threw for 3,424 yards with 25 touchdowns and 10 picks. He also ran for 340 yards and three scores for good measure. Here in 2025, there is no real threat to McCown's role as the starting quarterback. He's also still working under head coach Jeff Traylor, who probably missed his window to move to a bigger job. That's to McCown's benefit, though. There also isn't a ton of turnover around him in the passing attack, either, with Devin McCuin, David Amador and Willie McCoy set to return and Houston Thomas and Patrick Overmyer also back at tight end, as well as Robert Henry returning in the backfield. In short, this should be an explosive Roadrunners offense, and McCown should be a highly regarded quarterback for fantasy purposes. Read Past Outlooks
