Prunty announced Sunday via his personal Twitter account that he plans to enter the transfer portal with the intention of leaving Kansas.

The departure of Prunty is a massive one for Kansas after the cornerback was a freshman All-American in 2020. The rising sophomore was expected to be one of the leaders in the secondary heading into 2021 after recording 26 tackles, 10 pass breakups, one interception and one forced fumble during his first year in Lawrence.
