2024 Receiving Projections
Tallies 100 yards in Wrigley Field
Smith accrued four receptions (on seven targets) for 100 yards during Saturday's 31-7 win versus Northwestern.
ANALYSIS
Smith hit 100 receiving yards in a game for the third time this season sepite his relatively moderate number of receptions. The true freshman wideout didn't get into the end zone as running back Quinshon Judkins pounded in two one-yard scores, and sophomore Carnell Tate had his best game of the season, catching both of quarterback Will Howard's two touchdoown passes. This marks just the second time this season that Smith did not record a touchdown -- both of which have come across the last three weeks. His team-high in receiving yards still underscores his role as WR1 for the Buckeyes, as he's now tallied 49 catches (on 66 targets) for 865 yards and nine touchdowns. Smith will look to get back in the end zone during this Saturday's consequential home game against 10-0 Indiana.
