2024 Rush/Rec Projections
Transferring to UCLA
Berger is transferring to UCLA from Michigan State for the 2024 season, Pete Nakos of On3.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Berger will join his third collegiate program after logging the past two seasons with Michigan State and his first two with Wisconsin. The 6-foot-1 running back is a bit late in the game to transfer, but he should still have ample time to acquaint with his new team ahead of training camp starting in August. The former four-star recruit logged 776 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns across his two seasons with the Spartans, and he has 1,165 career rushing yards

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Berger showed flashes of potential over four games as a freshman for Wisconsin, averaging 5.0 rushing yards on 60 attempts in 2020. The former four-star looked primed to inherit the job as Wisconsin’s next great running back. Instead, Berger lost the Bagers’ No. 1 running-back job and was dismissed from the program midway through his sophomore season. Therefore, it’s tough to tell just how much to make of Berger’s limited action over seven collegiate games. The best indication of Berger’s possible value will likely come from the summer positional battle between him and fellow transfer-portal addition Jarek Broussard.
