Tyler Cherry News: Back on active roster

Cherry (knee) is back on Indiana's active roster, Zach Osterman of The Indianapolis Star reports.

A knee injury prevented Cherry's availability during 2025, meaning he sat out the best year in Indiana football history. Now that Fernando Mendoza is on to the NFL, he will aim to be IU's starting quarterback, though that honor will likely be bestowed upon TCU transfer Josh Hoover.
