Scotty Fox News: Battling Hawkins for QB1

Fox is competing with Michael Hawkins for the Mountaineers' QB1 gig, per Spencer Ripchik of The Dominion Post.

Fox had a solid season last fall in Morgantown, tossing for 1,276 yards, seven touchdowns and six interceptions while adding 201 yards and three scores on the ground. However, the Mountaineers also brought in Oklahoma transfer Michael Hawkins, and the two are reportedly locked in a legitimate quarterback battle that looks set to unfold during fall camp.
