Khristian Martin News: Battling for QB1 gig

Martin is battling with Jayden Mandal for the starting quarterback role for the 2026 season, according to Jackson Moore of 247Sports (via the G5 Hive podcast).

Martin didn't play much at Maryland in the 2025 season, appearing in five games and completing 11 of 17 passes for 113 passing yards and a touchdown. He'll compete for the QB1 gig with Mandal, who spent the previous campaign as the Bulldogs' backup under center behind E.J. Warner.
