Jack Layne Injury: Recovering from elbow surgery
Layne said his elbow is "feeling good" after offseason surgery for a torn tendon, according to Sean Reider of the Albuquerque Journal.
The New Mexico quarterback added that he is healthy now after playing through the injury for much of last season. This is a positive offseason update for Layne after he was limited during spring work and inactive for the spring game while recovering from the elbow issue. His health will be a key factor for New Mexico's offense heading into fall camp.
