Christopher Vizzina News: Still competing for QB1 role
Vizzina is still battling Tait Reynolds for Clemson's starting quarterback job ahead of the 2026 season, Chapel Fowler of The Columbia State reports.
Vizzina was previously named the No. 1 quarterback coming out of spring, but head coach Dabo Swinney's comments indicate the battle with Tait Reynolds remains wide open heading into fall camp. Swinney said, "It's CV's job to lose and it's Tait's job to win it." The head coach also stated that there's no set timeline for naming a starter. Vizzina will have to continue to impress throughout fall camp to be named the official starting quarterback ahead of the season opener.
