Chris Denson News: Shifts into hybrid role

Denson has shifted into more of a hybrid role featuring snaps from the running back and wide receiver positions, Chapel Fowler of The Columbia State reports.

Because both Christopher Vizzina and Tait Reynolds are higher-rated quarterbacks on Clemson's team, it does not need Denson under center. Nonetheless, the Tigers want him to have a meaningful spot on their rotation and are taking advantage of his athletic qualities. Denson is a talented runner/athlete, which is why Clemson's team has him testing at running back and wide receiver, both of which predicate on speed.
