Lawrence rushed eight times for 63 yards in Thursday's 30-27 overtime win over the Tiger-Cats. He also caught three of five targets for seven yards.
ANALYSIS
Lawrence was forced to embrace a bigger role out of the Alouettes' backfield due to the absence of Stevie Scott III (hamstring), but he stepped up in a big way in Week 1. Lawrence operated as the RB1 and had eight of the team's 14 carries, with the rest of the workload being divided between Travis Theis, Dustin Crum and Davis Alexander. Lawrence might be in line for extra work in Week 2 against Toronto on June 12 if Scott III isn't available.
