Rourke signed a two-year contract extension with the Lions on Tuesday.

Rourke was set to enter free agency at the end of the 2026 campaign, but his new deal will officially keep him in town through the 2028 season. The 27-year-old quarterback threw for 5,290 yards and posted a 31:16 TD:INT over 18 regular-season contests while adding 540 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground en route to winning the 2025 Most Outstanding Player award. He'll almost certainly enter the 2026 season as the league's top fantasy asset.
