Cephus brought in six of nine targets for 51 yards in the Elks' 23-18 win over the Blue Bombers on Thursday.

The CFL rookie, who's also spent regular-season time with the NFL's Jaguars the last two seasons, stepped up with new career highs in receptions, receiving yards and targets. Cephus had been minimally involved over the first two games of the season, posting a combined 3-36 line on four targets. However, Thursday's breakout showing may be a sign of things to come for the Texas-San Antonio product, who does have quality veteran competition for Cody Fajardo's attention in the form of Austin Mack and Kaion Julien-Grant. Cephus will look to carry over the momentum into a Week 5 road matchup against the Lions on Saturday, July 4.
