2024 Tournament PreviewFew teams face as much adversity as Wagner did this season and still get to the NCAA Tournament. The Seahawks came awfully close to forfeiting games in late December after losing six players (four potential starters) to injury. They still managed to go 7-9 in the Northeast and then ran the table in the conference tournament to clinch the automatic bid. While their story is great, their offense is not. The Seahawks rank 334th nationally in offensive efficiency (per KenPom) and 353rd in effective field-goal percentage, both the lowest in the Tournament. Juniors Melvin Council Jr. (14.6 ppg, 5.7 rpg) and Tahron Allen (10.8 ppg, 5.1 rpg) lead the team in scoring and rebounding, but the Seahawks don't shoot the three well -- guard Julian Brown shoots a team-high 34.5 percent among those with at least 60 attempts -- and rank 317th in KenPom's height metric. Wagner likely will have a tough time getting past the West Region 16-seed play-in game.
