2024 Tournament PreviewThe CAA regular-season and tournament champion, Charleston rides a 12-game winning streak into its seventh NCAA Tournament appearance. If the Cougars are to get their second win in school history and first since 1997, it will come on the back of their 58th-ranked offense (per KenPom). Charleston takes care of the ball and gets plenty of second-chance points, ranking 30th in offensive turnover rate and 46th in offensive rebounding rate. Coach Pat Kelsey's rotation goes 10 deep, led by junior guard Reyne Smith (12.8 ppg), who shoots 39.5 percent from 3-point range. The team has quality point guards in juniors Kobe Rodgers (9.6 ppg) and CJ Fulton (4.2 ppg, 4.2 apg) while the frontcourt is handled by 6-10 Ante Brzovic (12.3 ppg, 6.2 rpg) and 6-7 Ben Burnham (11.7 ppg, 4.6 rpg). But with only one Quad 1 game all season (a loss), Charleston's lack of competition might not have it prepared for a first-round upset.
