Awaka took advantage of a season-high 37 minutes by posting his fourth double double of the season though it wasn't enough to prevent Arizona from losing their second straight after starting the season with 23 consecutive wins. The reserve big man saw 10 more minutes than his previous high-water mark thanks in large part to the loss of Koa Peat, who left the game after 11 minutes with a quadriceps injury. Peat's status moving forward is worth monitoring when it comes to Awaka because he would almost certainly move into the starting lineup and see a major uptick in minutes should Peat be forced to sit out for any length of time. As it stands Awaka is a high-quality production-per-minute player, averaging 10.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 0.9 blocks while playing just 22.8 minutes in 12 games against Big 12 foes.
