Scores 19 off the bench
Mela finished Wednesday's 103-98 OT loss to UConn with 19 points (5-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 8-9 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 26 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Mela scored a season-high 19 points in Wednesday's overtime loss, and he did it on just nine field goal attempts. He hit eight of his nine free throw attempts and hit his lone attempt from beyond the arc as he and the Friars nearly knocked off UConn. Although he's now come off the bench in each of the last three games, he's still seeing similar playing time compared to when he was starting and he still clearly can make an impact off the bench.
