James, who started in 64 games with Louisville across the last two seasons before making the move to NC State, has yet to return to practice after suffering an offseason knee injury. The 6-foot-5 junior remains without a return timetable, but he continues to make strides in the right direction. James will have his next opportunity to return against Purdue on Thursday, but he appears likely to remain sidelined for additional time before attempting to make his season debut.
