Diop tallied a season-high 20 points but it was his dominance defensively with seven blocked shots that opened eyes despite the loss by the Sun Devils. The freshman big man had turned away two or more shots on six prior occasions but his effort on Saturday was more than double his previous best effort of three, a number he's reached twice. Diop has now scored 15 or more points in five consecutive contests and is averaging 17.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game during that stretch.
