Powell will transfer to Pittsburgh, per Joe Tipton of On3.com.
ANALYSIS
Powell will now play for his third team in three seasons. The 6-foot-6 guard committed to West Virginia out of high school, and he earned a big role as a freshman, averaging 8.3 points and 3.1 rebounds across 30.1 minutes. He then transferred to North Carolina, where he couldn't do better than a rotational bench role, averaging 4.8 points and 2.4 rebounds across 16.4 minutes. He'll look to become a critical part of the rotation once again with the Panthers.
