Batemon connected on four triples off the bench to lead the way in scoring for the Cyclones. The freshman reserve guard did most of his damage in the first half, scoring 13 of his team-high 17 during the first 20 minutes. Batemon reached double figures in the scoring column for the third time in five games, though he has also been held scoreless in four of eight conference games. Through 21 games, Batemon has averaged 13.5 minutes, totaling 6.3 points, 1.2 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 0.6 steals in a reserve role.
