West was held in check by the Illini, but the same could be said for every Wildcat who hit the court Wednesday night in an embarrassing 40-point loss. He's been a starter for the past seven games, but it hasn't been that fruitful of a stretch for the freshman, as he's averaging just 5.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in that span while shooting 36 percent from the floor. West has struggled to make a big impact this season, and there's no reason why that should change down the stretch.
