The 2026 NBA Draft marks Veesaar's last chance to turn pro by choice, as he has only one year of collegiate eligibility remaining. Considering the junior's eligibility and 2025-26 season, in which he broke out, him going pro should not come off as such a surprise. Veesaar's 31 games and starts saw him average 17.0 points and 8.7 rebounds (6.5 defensive) for the Tar Heels. The seven-footer proved he can score and rebound at the collegiate level, though whether or not he can replicate his college skill set's bread and butter remains to be seen. In the later weeks, Veesaar will look to make a push towards a draft selection, and there is at least some potential that he can be taken in the first round.
