Intends to stay in draft
Veesaar said Friday that he will forgo his final season of eligibility at North Carolina and will keep his name in the 2026 NBA Draft, Matt Norlander of CBSSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Rather than returning to college and chasing a lucrative NIL offer from either North Carolina or another program, Veesaar will make the move to the professional ranks. After spending his first three seasons of college at Arizona, Veesaar transferred to North Carolina last offseason and claimed second-team All-ACC honors as a redshirt junior in 2025-26. Over 31 appearances, the seven-foot center averaged 17.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 three-pointers, 1.2 blocks and 0.6 steals in 31.3 minutes per game.
