Despite going scoreless in just 11 minutes in Wednesday's loss to Stanford, Dixon made his first start of the season Saturday, and the freshman matched his best career scoring total while finding some rhythm from distance. He made the start in place of Kyan Evans, who was scoreless in just 11 minutes of action. The two have essentially split time at point guard over the last five games, a position that's overall been a weakness for the Tar Heels so far. While the end result Saturday was UNC's second consecutive loss, Dixon may have made a case to be on the top end of that platoon moving forward. Next up is a home matchup against Notre Dame on Wednesday.
