November 21, 2024
Head coach Wes Miller indicated that Skillings (knee) is "ahead of schedule" is his recovery and could make his return to action as soon as next week, per Keegan Nickoson of BearcatJournal.com.
ANALYSIS
Skillings recently underwent surgery on his injured knee and was presumed out for several weeks, but it appears the junior guard is on track to make his return sooner than anticipated. The 6-foot-6 junior played in Cincinnati's season opener, and with 17 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, he highlighted his impact and level of importance to the team. Getting Skillings back early would be a huge boost for Cincinnati, though Miller did mention that a return next week is far from a guarantee. Skillings' status will be worth monitoring moving forward.
