Finally healthy again
Essegian (ankle) is fully cleared for basketball-related activities and is practicing with no restrictions, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
ANALYSIS
Because of an injured ankle, Essegian did not play most of Nebraska's 2025-26 season, during which the Cornhuskers not only played 28 games without him but also advanced deep into March Madness. Fortunately for the senior, he can medically redshirt said campaign and opted to re-enroll at NU. During the 2024-25 Huskers' season, Essegian not only averaged 22.5 minutes but also 10.7 points and 2.2 three-pointers made on 40.6/37.7/80.0 shooting splits. He has excelled for Nebraska, but the question is whether he can do so next season, especially given that his 2025-26 campaign saw reduced tallies on all fronts.
