2025 Fantasy Outlook
Jones opened last season as the starting point guard for the Suns, but the team's struggles forced a lineup change. He was benched after the All-Star break and saw roughly 10 fewer minutes per game. The veteran floor general's production ended up being roughly the same as it had been across the prior two campaigns with Washington and Memphis - 10.2 points, 5.3 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 26.8 minutes. During the offseason, Jones inked a one-year deal with the Magic. He'll be in contention with Anthony Black for backup point guard minutes, though Black also has the size to play on the wing. Ultimately, the move affects Black's fantasy viability more than Jones', who has been a fringe 12-team player lately. Black is more intriguing as the young up-and-comer, but his prospects for this season are a bit murkier. Only fantasy managers in deep formats should consider Jones, given his low ceiling. Dishes out nine assists in win
Jones finished with five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), nine assists and one rebound across 19 minutes in Wednesday's 133-124 win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
After being left out of the rotation in Saturday's 119-105 loss to the Cavaliers, Jones has since reclaimed a spot on the Magic's second unit. He handled an 18-minute workload in Monday's loss to Cleveland and saw similar playing time Wednesday on his way to finishing as Orlando's leading assist man. With Franz Wagner experienced renewed soreness in his left ankle and looking likely to miss additional time, Jones could have some staying power in the rotation for the time being. However, Jones will be a prime candidate to see his playing time get cut dramatically once Wagner returns and Orlando is back to full strength.

Jones was a popular pick among experts last season when he stepped into a starting point guard gig for the Wizards, but things didn't go as planned. It certainly wasn't Jones' fault, averaging 12.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.6 threes last season. He also shot 49 percent from the field, 41 percent from three-point range and 80 percent from the free-throw line. Those statistics help fantasy managers fill every category, making Jones one of the most useful players in nine-category leagues at the end of drafts. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out in his new home, with Jones taking over as a point guard in Phoenix. It was the perfect move for the Suns since they didn't have a true point guard, but we have to assume it'll hurt Jones' fantasy value. Devin Booker is still expected to be the primary playmaker, while Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant and Jusuf Nurkic also need their touches. While this is an excellent move for real-life basketball, it's difficult to see Jones being a massive asset in fantasy since there are so many cooks in this Phoenix kitchen. In any case, Jones is a solid pick near the end of drafts because he won't hurt you anywhere and should provide value across the board.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Orlando could move him
Jones is being quietly shopped as Orlando attempts to get below the luxury tax, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Jones' production has dipped sharply in a reduced role, though his elite assist-to-turnover ratio remains intact. Teams seeking steady veteran guard depth have explored his availability, and a trade could revive his fantasy value if he regains consistent minutes. Anthony Black's emergence in Orlando appears to have made Jones expendable.
