Paul Watson

Paul Watson Jr. was born in Phoenix in 1994. The son of Paul and Rayna Watson, Paul has two younger brothers -- Kendyl and CJ. Watson dominated at the high school level, where he was a four-year letterwinner at Paradise Valley High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Watson was named the Arizona Player of the Year, leading his team to a state championship in the process. Watson, whose favorite athlete is Lebron James, chose to attend California State University, Fresno after high school, doing so because of his familiarity and trust in the school's coaching staff. He spent four years at Fresno State, and was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year after the 2013-14 season. You can follow Paul Watson on Twitter @PWJiii. Paul Watson played four years (2013-17) of collegiate ball for Fresno State. During his freshman season, he played and started in all 39 games for the Bulldogs. His 10.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game earned him honors as the Mountain West Freshman of the Year and he was named a Kyle Macy Freshmen All-American. He played in and started 32 games as a sophomore and averaged 33.3 minutes per game. Watson's Bulldogs made it to the NCAA Tournament during his junior season, and he scored 11 points during Fresno State's first-round game versus Utah. As a senior, Watson represented Fresno State as one of eight of college basketball's best senior dunkers in the 2017 College Basketball Slam Dunk contest. Watson started 33 games for Fresno State during his final year of college ball and finished as one of 32 Bulldogs in program history to score at least 1,000 points. He went undrafted during the 2017 NBA Draft and played overseas in Germany, appearing in one game for BG Göttingen before returning stateside to play for the G-League's Westchester Knicks in 2017.
