2025 Fantasy Outlook
Moody didn't take the fantasy world by storm in 2024-25, but he made noticeable strides with several career-high marks in his fourth NBA campaign. Overall, Moody averaged 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 22.3 minutes, appearing in 74 regular-season games with 34 starts. He underwent thumb surgery in May, but it sounds like his status for Opening Night is not in doubt. The Warriors signed Jonathan Kuminga to an extension, while bringing in De'Anthony Melton, Al Horford and Malcolm Brogdon. Assuming that Brandin Podziemski and Buddy Hield are the starting wings, Moody would likely be the first wing off the bench with Jimmy Butler being deployed as a small-ball four. Moody is not a high-usage player, and his stat profile doesn't jump off the page, but he's a steady role player and could be relevant once again in deeper leagues as a warm body that generates hustle stats. Cleared to play Monday
Moody (wrist) is available for Monday's game against the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Moody will shed his questionable tag and return from a 10-game absence due to a right wrist sprain. It wouldn't be surprising to see him operate under a minutes restriction, though his return will still leave fewer minutes available for the likes of Will Richard and Gary Payton.

Moody posted several career-high marks across the board in the 2023-24 season, where he logged 8.1 points and 3.0 rebounds across 17.5 minutes per game in 66 regular-season appearances, including nine starts. Moody was expected to compete for minutes in the backcourt following the departure of Klay Thompson to the Mavericks, but the presence of Brandin Podziemski, D'Anthony Melton and Buddy Hield complicates the scenario for him. Even if he's deployed as a small forward, Moody starts the season behind Jonathan Kuminga, Andrew Wiggins and Kyle Anderson on the depth chart, not to mention scenarios in which Hield could play the three. All things considered, Moody shouldn't play a role in fantasy across all formats, as he might not see enough minutes to be a factor even in the deepest of leagues.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Warriors could move him
The Warriors could move Moody ahead of the trade deadline, Evan Sidery of Forbes.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Warriors are 18-16 on the season and certainly don't have the look of a contender at this point. Sidery notes that the Warriors are hoping for a wing upgrade and that the team was previously opposed to moving him. With Golden State's aging roster, the franchise appears ready to go all-in to make another playoff run.
