2025 Fantasy Outlook
From Jan. 14 through April 3, Edwards averaged 11.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals in 29.8 minutes per game on 45/37/71 shooting splits for the injury-depleted 76ers. Philadelphia declined Edwards' team option for 2025-26 but signed the 21-year-old to a three-year deal this offseason. While Edwards had some bright moments last season, he'll be buried on the depth chart when everyone is healthy. Tyrese Maxey, Paul George and Joel Embiid will dominate the touches, while Quentin Grimes, VJ Edgecombe, Kelly Oubre and Jared McCain compete for the other two starting spots. The 76ers also have veterans Kyle Lowry and Eric Gordon available for reserve minutes. That leaves Edwards fighting for playing time with Trendon Watford, Johni Broome and Adem Bona. Edwards doesn't need to be drafted, but if things fall apart in Philadelphia again, he'd be in line for more developmental minutes in 2025-26. Read Past Outlooks
Assigned to G League
The 76ers assigned Edwards to the G League's Delaware Blue Coats on Friday, Derek Bodner of AllPHLY.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards has totaled just 16 minutes over his last three games with Philadelphia, and it looks like the recent signing of Cameron Payne has left him as the odd man out in the rotation. Edwards is likely to occupy a featured role with the Blue Coats for the time being, though.

Turning corner for 76ers
76ers coach Nick Nurse wasn't surprised to see Edwards turn the corner in Tuesday's win over Boston, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
"I think I said this to you guys before, like, I love him," Nurse said of Edwards. "I don't worry about him. Works extremely hard. He really worked on his shooting. He goes out there and tries extremely hard on defense every time. He's not perfect. But he's a really good developing young player that I love. If he has a bad game, it doesn't even phase me, because I love him." Edwards was eerily quiet to open the season, but he reached double figures for the first time Tuesday and finished with 22 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal and five three-pointers in a season-high 27 minutes. He's worth monitoring after this eruption, but it's worth mentioning that Paul George is due back from his knee injury soon.
