2025 Fantasy Outlook
Holiday's 2024-25 regular season was a mixed bag. His production dipped in almost all the major categories, and he posted the lowest usage rate (15.8 percent) of his career. He averaged 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 steals over 62 regular-season games for Boston, finishing with ninth-round value on a per-game basis in nine-category formats. A victim of Boston's salary cap crunch, Holiday was traded over the offseason to Portland for Anfernee Simons. Although there was some speculation that Holiday wouldn't want to stick around, that's no longer the case. In Portland, Holiday said he wants to be used all over the floor as he mentors both Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe. The Trail Blazers also made a massive splash by acquiring Damian Lillard, although he won't return until 2026-27 due to his Achilles injury. It's a pretty safe bet that Holiday will start, but for how long is the question. With the Trail Blazers projected to finish near the bottom of the Western Conference, it would only make sense for Henderson to become the priority down the stretch. But at least in the early going, Holiday has a strong enough fantasy resume over the years to warrant a late-round pick. Read Past Outlooks
Major backcourt additions arriving
Holiday is in danger of handling a lesser role in 2026-27 after Portland acquired Ja Morant in a trade this summer.
ANALYSIS
Additionally, it remains to be seen how the Trail Blazers will choose to deploy the returning Damian Lillard (Achilles) next year. Holiday is coming off a resurgent 2025-26 regular season, averaging 16.3 points, 6.1 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game in 53 appearances, so he at least appears to be the early favorite to start at shooting guard. Shaedon Sharpe and Scoot Henderson will also be battling for key roles, further making Holiday's fantasy forecast difficult to predict.

Holiday's summer of 2023 journey from Milwaukee to Portland to Boston led to the point guard's second NBA championship. But it also resulted in Holiday taking a step back in most statistical categories as he deferred to Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis and even Derrick White. Holiday's 12.5 points per game were a career low outside of his 2009-10 rookie season. And while his rebounds and blocks perked up, he saw a significant decline in assists and steals per game. This is important, because Boston's roster is essentially the same for the 2024-25 season. Holiday's role should go unchanged, with him often hunting corner threes while Tatum, Brown and Porzingis do more to create their own shot. In fact, White was frequently Boston's offensive point guard last year, while Holiday was in more of a 3-and-D wing role. But don't expect Holiday's minutes to decline. He averaged 32.8 minutes a game as a Celtic and has averaged 33.9 minutes per contest over the past seven seasons. Entering his age-34 season, expect Holiday's second year in Boston to look very much like his first season as a Celtic.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Potential target for Charlotte?
Schuyler Callihan of SI.com believes the Hornets could use their $40 million trade exception to acquire Holiday.
ANALYSIS
The Hornets generated the record-setting trade exception in the blockbuster deal that sent LaMelo Ball and Josh Green to the Timberwolves in exchange for Naz Reid for a 2033 unprotected first-round pick, three first-round pick swaps and three second-round picks. Holiday has expressed his desire to stay in Portland after being acquired by the team from Boston during the 2025 offseason, but the Trail Blazers' backcourt became more crowded after the team's acquisition of Ja Morant from the Grizzlies. Between Morant, Damian Lillard and Scoot Henderson, there simply may not be enough playing time for Holiday, who would likely see a more consistent role with the Hornets alongside Coby White and Kon Knueppel.
