Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Jerdarrian Devontae Davison was born in the small town of Letohatchee, Alabama in October of 2002. He has three older brothers. Davison attended Calhoun High School in Letohatchee, where as a junior (2019-20) he was named Alabama Mr. Basketball and Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year after averaging 30.4 points, 12 rebounds and five dimes per game. That same year he led Calhoun to a Class 2A state title. In the championship game, Davison scored 34 points and hit the game-winning three-pointer. The guard delivered similar stats as a senior and again earned Alabama Mr. Basketball honors. As a five-star recruit, the Alabama native chose the University of Alabama over offers from Auburn, LSU and many others. With the Crimson Tide, Davison started in five of 33 appearances. He delivered 8.5 points, 4.8 boards and 4.3 assists over 25.8 minutes per game, which led to membership on the 2021-22 SEC All-Freshman Team. In April of 2022, Davison declared for the 2022 NBA Draft, where he was selected by the Boston Celtics with the 53rd overall pick.

Davison totaled 35 points (13-24 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 11 rebounds, eight assists, three steals and three blocks across 38 minutes in Monday's G League loss to the Iowa Wolves.
ANALYSIS
Davison seemed to do it all for the Vipers, but his Herculean efforts were not enough to propel his shorthanded squad past Iowa. He has been nothing short of phenomenal for Rio Grande Valley, dropping at least 25 points in all four of his G League appearances.

Rockets coach Ime Udoka said Saturday that Davison has been standing out at training camp, Ben DuBose of Rockets Wire reports.
ANALYSIS
"He's been great. Very aggressive, handles well, makes good decisions out of the pick and roll," Udoka said. "He's a big body who can pick up full court, so he brings aggression on both sides of the ball." Udoka is familiar with Davison as the two were in Boston together. Davison, who won the 2024-25 G League MVP Award, is on a two-way contract with Houston. Due to Fred VanVleet's potential season-ending ACL tear, Davison could emerge as a candidate to see meaningful minutes at point guard this season.
