2025 Fantasy Outlook
After five seasons in Cleveland, Okoro was traded to Chicago this offseason in exchange for Lonzo Ball. Okoro never lived up to the hype of being a top-5 pick in 2020. He showed slight improvements with his efficiency, especially from deep, but his counting stats progressively got worse in each campaign following his rookie season. Okoro posted career lows in points, rebounds, steals and minutes per game in 2024-25. He'll look for a fresh start in Chicago, where he'll come off the bench as a 3-and-D player. Okoro has made at least 35 percent of his three-point attempts in four straight seasons. With Josh Giddey, Coby White, Matas Buzelis and Nikola Vucevic locked in as starters, Okoro will be a candidate to fill the fifth spot if he performs well during training camp. However, returning players such as Ayo Dosunmu, Patrick Williams, and Kevin Huerter may have the upper hand initially due to their familiarity with coach Billy Donovan's system. The Bulls also took Noa Essengue with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft, and he'll likely demand developmental minutes at both forward spots as a rookie. Okoro isn't in an ideal fantasy spot, but he is a good fit with the Bulls and could bounce back to top-200 value if he turns last season into an outlier. Read Past Outlooks

Despite continuing to play meaningful minutes, Okoro has yet to put himself on the radar when it comes to standard fantasy leagues. Although his minutes were reduced last season, he still started basically the entire second half. He averaged 21.7 minutes per game, averaging 6.4 points to go with 2.5 rebounds and 0.7 steals. For a player whose value is based on his defensive upside, he is yet to average more than 0.9 steals across three seasons in the NBA. The Cavaliers appear as though they may have given up on the idea of Okoro being their answer at the small forward position, signing Max Strus from the Heat. Although Strus is not as impactful as Okoro on the defensive end, he is a far more reliable scoring threat. Given Okoro's minutes could be on the way down once again, managers can safely ignore him outside of very deep leagues.

The Lakers have checked in with the Bulls on Okoro ahead of the trade deadline, Evan Sidery of Forbes.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Okoro, who Chicago acquired in the Lonzo Ball deal, has started every game since arriving from Cleveland. The 23-year-old provides perimeter defense and wing depth, areas of need for Los Angeles. Okoro's $11 million salary could be matched using one of the Lakers' expiring contracts, with rookie Dalton Knecht potentially included as a sweetener.
