DeJon Jarreau

Dejon Jarreau was born in January of 1998 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He played basketball at McDonogh 35 College Preparatory Charter High School. Jarreau became pretty well known when he competed on the AAU circuit for Elfrid Payton Elite. As a four-star recruit, Jarreau committed to play at UMass. As a freshman, he averaged 9.8 points and 4.5 assists but then transferred from UMass to the University of Houston after coach Derek Kellogg was fired. Jarreau was named AAC sixth man of the year in his sophomore season. In his junior year, he averaged 9.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists. He decided to come back to Houston for his senior year in which he led the Cougars to the final four. He won the AAC Defensive Player of the Year and was named to Second Team All-ACC. Jarreau went undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft but later signed with the Miami Heat Summer League team. After a very impressive Summer League, he signed a two-way contract with the Indiana Pacers.
