Andre Jackson

Andre Jackson spent the last three seasons with the UConn Huskies, helping lead the team to a National Championship in 2022-23 as a co-captain with fellow NBA prospect Adama Sanogo. In the title game, Jackon played 35 minutes and led the team in assists with six. He missed the first three games of the season after fracturing a finger on his right hand but went on to start in 31 of his 36 appearances. In his junior year, he averaged 6.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.1 steals in 29.2 minutes per game. Before college, Jackson played high school basketball at The Albany Academy in Albany, New York. There, he was named New York Sports Writers Association Class A Player of the Year for 2019-20. Jackson also played on the USA Select team at the 2018 Albert Schweitzer Tournament in Germany. Jackson is a well-rounded forward who can do a little bit of everything. He has the size and athleticism to finish strong at the rim as an off-ball cutter while being an instinctual passer. His jumper improved throughout his collegiate career, and he has room to grow as a shot-creator. Jackson is also a smart defender who can bother shots all over the court and create turnovers. Jackson likely projects as a depth bench piece in the NBA, with a safe floor. His game has shades of Dalen Terry and Josh Green due to their ability to be secondary playmakers in bench units and provide quality wing defense. However, he is more of a slasher than a jump-shooter compared to those two.
