2024 Fantasy Outlook
Morales has had huge raw power for a while, but there were major hit tool concerns entering the draft. The Nationals took him out of Miami with the 40th overall pick. He hit .349 with a 19.1 K% while climbing from rookie ball to Double-A in 42 games. Strangely, he had 16 doubles, three triples and zero homers. That pro debut is doing all the heavy lifting with his FYPD appeal, but it was a small sample against tired pitching. Morales is a little stiff for third base and may slide to first base or designated hitter.
