Siani, who turns 27 in July, appeared in just 19 games for the Cardinals in 2025 after logging 334 plate appearances for the team in 2024. The defense-first outfielder will head to the Dodgers with hopes of securing a larger role. Siani slashed .209/.307/.329 with eight home runs and 28 stolen bases for the Cardinals' Triple-A affiliate last season. The speedster is a terrific defensive center fielder but has slashed just .221/.277/.270 at the big-league level. Siani looked to be, at best, fourth in the pecking order in center field for the Cardinals at the outset of spring training, but injuries to Tommy Edman and Dylan Carlson and struggles by Victor Scott led to Siani taking over in center as the primary guy versus righties before the end of April. He proved to be a defensive wizard from the jump, but Siani's work at the plate was rough. Among 286 players with at least 300 plate appearances, Siani's .570 OPS ranked 282nd and his wRC+ of 64 tied for 277th. His 27.5 percent strikeout rate was higher than his 22.6 percent hard-hit rate, which is difficult to pull off. Siani did steal 20 bases in 23 chances and often tallied gaudy stolen-base totals in the minors. The 25-year-old could get another shot at regular reps in center field in 2025, but from a fantasy perspective he would be a desperation speed play.
