The Phillies have signed Stobbe to a $1.1 million contract, Jim Callis of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Stobbe, the Phillies' third-round pick earlier this month, signed for nearly $300,000 more than the $813,500 slot value in order to forego a college commitment. He projects as a .280 hitter with 15-18 home runs per year in the big leagues.

2017 Fantasy Outlook
The Phillies selected Stobbe in the third round of the 2016 draft. He was said to have one of the better hit tools among prep players in the draft class, while also boasting average power and speed. He was assigned to the Gulf Coast League after signing and hit .270/.337/.405 with four homers and eight doubles in 148 at-bats while playing all of his games at shortstop. He is expected to move from shortstop to either third base or second base, and if he finds a home at the keystone, he could offer average or better offensive production across the board. His ability to hit and his plus makeup should allow him to move up the organizational ladder somewhat quickly. It's not a flashy package, but he has a chance to be a big league regular.
