Rest-of-Season Projections
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Ramos began the 2025 campaign on the injured list with a strained elbow and he wound up spending all of the season at Triple-A Charlotte outside of a four-game cameo with the White Sox in September. The 24-year-old popped 16 home runs and stole 13 bases at Charlotte, but a .216/.309/.396 batting line left something to be desired. After showing potential in the lower minors, Ramos' progression has stalled out at Triple-A (.235/.321/.404) and in the majors (.198/.244/.333) over the last two seasons. He's too young to write off, but even on a rebuilding White Sox club he looks to be buried on the depth chart, and the team confirmed as much when it removed him from the 40-man roster in late January. Staying with Baltimore
The Orioles outrighted Ramos to Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Analysis
After failing to make the Opening Day roster and with no minor-league options left, the Orioles opted to designate Ramos for assignment Tuesday. He cleared waivers Thursday and has opted to remain in the organization with Norfolk. Ramos spent most of the 2025 season in Triple-A, but he could see some major-league action in 2026 if Baltimore requires depth at third base.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
2023
Ramos saw two brief runs of playing time in the majors last year as a 22-year-old, first in May, and again in September. He had a .447 OPS in 48 plate appearances during his first cup of coffee, but Ramos flashed some promise during his September call-up. He was unlucky (.222 BABIP) and only hit .208 in September, but Ramos had a .208 ISO, 10 percent walk rate and 23.3 percent strikeout rate while hitting all three of his home runs on the season during 60 plate appearances to close the year. He was essentially league average (99 wRC+) at the plate in September despite hitting just above the Mendoza Line, and he was hitting sixth in the lineup by the end of the year. While at Triple-A, the 6-foot-2 Cuban slashed .263/.339/.416 with eight home runs, six steals and a 20.8 percent strikeout rate in 64 games. Ramos is a third baseman by trade, but Josh Rojas and Miguel Vargas will likely enter the year ahead of him on the organizational depth chart.
