Harris spent most of the season in Triple-A Las Vegas with just 32 homerless games with the big league club on the season. Harris hit for an empty average in that time and looked good enough in the field, but the empty bat with only third base eligibility on draft day is going to be very tough to roster in nearly all league styles, sizes, and formats. Harris did need offseason thumb surgery but is expected to be ready in time for camp to audition for a role on the club's active roster. The club struck gold with Jacob Wilson in 2025, but it is unlikely Harris can follow that same path in 2026 so watch for how things go in camp and adjust accordingly should he win the starting third base job somehow. The A's recalled Harris from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Analysis
The 27-year-old will get his first chance in the big leagues this season as Max Muncy (hand) lands on the injured list. Harris had a .274/.349/.342 slash line in 32 MLB games last season and isn't likely to fill a significant role while up with the Athletics.

Hard Hit Rate
A measure of contact quality from Sports Info Solutions. This stat explains what percentage of batted balls were hit hard vs. medium or soft.
Barrels/PA
The percentage of plate appearances where a batter had a batted ball classified as a Barrel. A Barrel is a batted ball with similar exit velocity and launch angle to past ones that led to a minimum .500 batting average and 1.500 slugging percentage.
