2026 Fantasy Outlook
Caldwell's plus speed and athleticism allowed him to play a plus center field in 2026, but he underwhelmed at the plate. Given over $3 million out of high school in 2024, Caldwell was passive in his pro debut, swinging just a third of the time across Single-A and High-A while hitting three home runs in 114 games, all of which came at Single-A. When Caldwell did put the ball in play, he hit it on the ground 51.5 percent of the time and hit more balls to the opposite field than the pull side. His keen eye led to a .408 on-base percentage, which combined with his strong defense still makes him a prospect of note, but he comfortably projects for below-average power after his 2025 season. The lefty-hitting Caldwell could eventually be a 10-homer/20-steal leadoff hitter against righties. Read Past Outlooks
