Farmelo has only played 46 official games since the Mariners drafted him 29th overall in 2023, but he's shown an exciting fantasy upside and could be in store for a breakout 2025, even though he isn't expected to be ready for the start of the season. The tooled up center fielder did not play in regular season games in 2023 due to a concussion, but he starred in a the California League playoffs late that year. In 2024, he slashed .264/.398/.421 with four home runs, 18 steals, a 16.3 percent walk rate and a 23.5 percent strikeout rate in 46 games for Single-A Modesto before tearing his ACL in mid-June.
