The Astros farm system is as weak as it has been in recent memory, and Baez is arguably the most appealing player in the system for dynasty leagues. A righty-hitting slugger who received $1.3 million out of the Dominican Republic, the 6-foot-1 Baez slashed .248/.357/.481 with 11 home runs, a 24.3 percent strikeout rate and a 12.9 percent walk rate in 58 games across complex ball and Single-A. His exit velocities were extreme for a 19-year-old, and he projects to be a classic power-over-hit right fielder with a plus arm. Baez isn't a great athlete, so he'll need to be a quality run producer to garner everyday playing time in a corner. He should spend the bulk of his age-20 season at High-A Asheville, where the cozy home park at high altitude should allow him to put up cartoonish numbers. Read Past Outlooks
