Kreidler dealt with injuries in 2023 and could never really get going for the Tigers. He started the year on the MLB roster but was optioned to Triple-A Toledo in April. He then went on the injured list due to knee soreness and ultimately missed extended time following core-muscle surgery. When he finally got healthy later in the summer, Kreidler returned to action for Toledo, where he ended up playing 49 games. The utility player only appeared in 11 games for Detroit, recording two hits in 18 at-bats. Kreidler saw a bit more MLB run in 2022, playing in 26 games with the Tigers, but he had similar struggles at the plate, slashing just .178/.244/.233 in those contests. Unless the 26-year-old starts to show more offensive upside, he likely will remain off the fantasy radar. Heading into 2024, Kreidler will compete with the likes of Nick Maton, Andy Ibanez and others for a utility role in Detroit. Given his ineffective and injury-marred 2023 campaign, Kreidler will probably once again spend a good chunk of time in the minors this season. Read Past Outlooks
