Bowlan made his major league debut in 2023 making two appearances and throwing just three innings in late September. The 27-year-old compiled an unimpressive 5.91 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 105:45 K:BB over 102 innings between Double-A and Triple-A. With the additions of Seth Lugo and Michael Wacha this offseason and it's difficult to envision a rotation spot for Bowlan heading into 2024. The right-hander's best path to a roster spot could be out of the bullpen, though he's only been used as a reliever seven times in his career across all levels.
