2026 Fantasy Outlook

After a breakout 2024 campaign, Martinez opened last season in a high-leverage role for the Diamondbacks, but spent the majority of 2025 on the injured list. The 24-year-old experienced diminished velocity early on thanks to right shoulder inflammation. After a few weeks on the IL, Martinez only made five more appearances for Arizona before spraining his UCL. The injury required Tommy John surgery; a procedure Martinez went through for the second time after originally going under the knife back in 2021.
