Benintendi matched his career high with 20 homers, first achieved in his first full season in the majors. He posted his highest barrel rate since 2021 and highest flyball rate ever. The added lift dropped his BABIP (and batting average) to its lowest in a full season. The result was a 93 wRC+, the second straight season he was below average. After stealing 13 bases the prior year, he stopped taking advantage of the new rules with 10 fewer bags. Surprisingly, Benintendi's minus-13 defensive runs saved were the worst of all left fielders. The White Sox are committed to Benintendi through 2027; his weak bat and subpar glove will be in the lineup. Volume is his main asset, leaving him as a back-end outfielder with no upside.
